CANADOS
Canados is one of the great old names in the
Italian nautical industry, having been founded in 1945 by a group of master
carpenters to build military boats. In 1970, the yard began building
pleasure craft giving owners the benefit and advantages of its military
experience bonded with contemporary luxury yacht construction techniques. Thus far, Canados has built over 500 12 to 36-metre
state-of-the-art motoryachts,
more than 150 sailing yachts, and a series of motor launches for the Port
Authorities. The yard is based at Fiumara Grande at the mouth of the Tiber and
covers around 22,200 square metres. Since 1999 under a new management it has been
extended and modernised. Canados launched its flagship the Canados 110' in 2004. It has
also started
construction of its ultra modern fast offshore cruiser, the Canados 90 Open.
